General Description
- The Coordinator of Teaching and Learning will play a vital role in enhancing instructional practices through STEM education, technology integration, and comprehensive teacher coaching. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality instruction that aligns with district goals and standards. The Coordinator will work closely with educators to foster a collaborative environment, support innovative teaching practices, and improve student learning outcomes in STEM fields and across the curriculum through the effective use of technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters preferred in admin/supervision, curriculum & instruction, instructional technology or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification; additional certifications in STEM or instructional technology are advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, with a focus on STEM education or technology integration.
Essential Job Functions
- STEM Education Coordination
- Develop and implement a vision for STEM education that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application for students.
- Collaborate with district leadership to create, evaluate, and refine STEM curriculum, ensuring it aligns with state and district standards.
- Support schools in acquiring resources, designing project-based learning experiences, and integrating STEM into various content areas.
- Lead professional learning sessions for teachers on best practices in STEM instruction and cross-disciplinary integration.
- Technology Integration and Coaching
- Provide direct coaching and support to teachers in integrating technology into their daily instruction to enhance student engagement and learning.
- Design and deliver professional development focused on instructional technology tools, digital citizenship, and the use of data to inform instruction.
- Model effective technology integration strategies for teachers and co-teach in classrooms to support best practices.
- Work with the IT department to ensure teachers have access to the technology tools and support needed for successful classroom implementation.
- Monitor usage and implementation of learning platforms
- Teacher Coaching and Professional Development
- Act as an instructional coach for teachers, providing feedback, resources, and guidance to enhance instructional practices across all content areas.
- Conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate reflective conversations to support teacher growth.
- Organize, lead, and evaluate professional learning communities (PLCs) to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement among educators.
- Support new teacher induction and mentor teachers to build a sustainable foundation of instructional best practices within the district.
- Data Analysis and Progress Monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to analyze student data, identify learning gaps, and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Use assessment data to guide instructional coaching efforts, targeting specific needs and promoting data-driven instruction.
- Provide recommendations for instructional interventions, curricular adjustments, and resources to improve student outcomes in STEM and technology-infused learning.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a liaison between school leadership, teachers, and district administration to align instructional strategies and district-wide goals.
- Maintain open lines of communication with teachers and school leaders regarding instructional support, resources, and best practices.
- Assist in developing grant proposals and securing additional resources for STEM and technology initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, and leading professional development for teachers.
- Strong understanding of STEM curricula, project-based learning, and effective technology integration in K-12 education.

Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
